The 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship delivered another dramatic trio of races at Donington Park as the championship entered the closing stages of the season. Adam Morgan continued his remarkable resurgence with two victories for CPRL, while Dan Cammish added a second win of the campaign to further close the gap to Tom Ingram in the championship standings.
Morgan’s latest double marked three wins in his last four races and capped a remarkable turnaround for the CPRL driver, who has also taken pole position at each of the last two meetings. Cammish’s victory ensured he left Leicestershire just five points behind Ingram, while championship leader Ash Sutton continued to extend his advantage at the summit despite missing out on victory.
Round 19
Adam Morgan converted pole position into a commanding victory in Round 19 of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, leading from the front to claim another win for CPRL at Donington Park.
Morgan’s remarkable run of form continued at the Leicestershire circuit, having secured his second career pole position in yesterday’s ‘Race to Pole’ and taken victory in the opening race at Knockhill earlier this month. Starting from the front of the grid once again, the CPRL driver produced a controlled performance to pull clear of the battles behind.
The fight for second allowed Morgan to establish an early advantage, with teammate Dan Rowbottom initially losing out to Josh Cook before championship leader Ash Sutton moved ahead in his NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus.
The race was neutralised early on following a major incident involving Lewis Gilbert at the Melbourne Loop. The WSR BMW was pitched into the barriers on the approach to the corner before being launched into a heavy roll, eventually coming to rest after digging into the grass.
Gilbert was assessed by the TOCA Medical Team and was given the all-clear shortly afterwards, although he was taken to the Medical Centre for further observation. His BMW 330i M Sport, however, was heavily damaged in the incident.
Morgan led the field away at the restart, with Cook holding second ahead of Sutton and Rowbottom. The order changed again when Cook’s Toyota Corolla developed a throttle issue, forcing the Speedworks Corolla Racing driver into retirement and promoting Sutton to second.
Sutton then found himself under pressure from Rowbottom, with the championship leader defending hard as the CPRL Mercedes continued to look for a way through.
Rowbottom eventually lost third to Gordon Shedden, who moved ahead in the Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota. The Mercedes driver then slipped another position on the final lap as NAPA Racing UK’s Dan Cammish completed the pass for fourth.
Morgan crossed the line comfortably clear to secure another victory, while Shedden held on for third behind Sutton. Cammish completed the top four.
The battle for the remaining places was closely contested, with just over a second separating positions five through eight at the finish. Árón Taylor-Smith led Dexter Patterson across the line, with the Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota narrowly ahead of the Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing Audi.
Team VERTU’s Ricky Collard and Tom Ingram followed closely behind, while Mikey Doble completed the top ten after passing LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing teammate Aiden Moffat through Coppice during the race.

Round 20
Dan Cammish moved into second place in the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship standings with victory in Round 20 at Donington Park, securing his third win at the Leicestershire circuit.
The NAPA Racing UK driver has now taken more BTCC victories on the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit than any other current driver, moving clear of championship rivals Ash Sutton and Tom Ingram with his latest success.
Cammish was made to work for the win after CPRL’s Dan Rowbottom made a strong start from the front and initially controlled the race. The Mercedes driver held the lead through the opening stages before Cammish began to apply pressure.
The decisive move came at the final corner shortly before the halfway point, with Cammish edging his Ford Focus past Rowbottom to take control of the race. Rowbottom initially remained within striking distance but soon found himself under pressure from Sutton.
Despite running with limited boost and the harder Goodyear tyre, Rowbottom maintained a strong pace and kept Sutton behind for much of the contest. However, a slowdown exiting the chicane in the closing stages left the CPRL driver vulnerable, with Sutton moving through before Tom Ingram also found a way past.
Cammish went on to take the chequered flag ahead of Sutton and Ingram, with the result providing another important swing in the championship battle. His victory moved him one point ahead of Ingram in the standings and made him Sutton’s closest challenger.
Rowbottom eventually secured fourth, holding off Team VERTU’s Ricky Collard and Dexter Patterson. The latter once again impressed for Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing, taking another Independents’ victory as well as the Jack Sears Trophy honours.
Árón Taylor-Smith finished seventh for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport, followed by Aiden Moffat of LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing.
Polesitter Adam Morgan could only manage ninth for CPRL, while Chris Smiley completed the top ten for Restart Racing. Smiley’s result was rewarded further after the race as he was confirmed on pole for the reverse-grid contest later in the day.
With Cammish now just one point ahead of Ingram and Sutton continuing to lead the championship, the latest result further tightened an increasingly competitive fight at the front of the BTCC standings.

Round 21
CPRL’s Adam Morgan completed a memorable weekend at Donington Park by claiming victory in Round 21 of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, becoming only the second driver this season to reach three wins.
Morgan started alongside pole-sitter Chris Smiley and quickly put the Restart Racing Hyundai under pressure. The CPRL Mercedes eventually found its way past and, once in front, Morgan wasted little time establishing a commanding advantage at the head of the field.
A third victory of the campaign capped an outstanding weekend for Morgan, who had already taken pole position and won the opening race at the Leicestershire circuit.
Aiden Moffat produced one of the drives of the race to bring his LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing Audi home in second, earning a well-deserved podium after a strong performance.
WSR’s Daryl De Leon completed the podium, providing the squad with some consolation following a difficult weekend. The young driver held off the Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota of Árón Taylor-Smith, while championship leader Ash Sutton finished fifth ahead of Charles Rainford.
Gordon Shedden brought the second Laser Tools Racing Toyota home in seventh, ahead of a late battle between Josh Cook and Tom Ingram. The pair made contact at the chicane, but Cook held on to eighth.
Tom Ingram finished ninth, with Dexter Patterson completing the top ten for Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing after another consistent weekend.
There was late drama involving the championship contenders, with Sutton and Ingram coming together during the race. Sutton was subsequently handed a five-second penalty for the incident, which altered the order behind the leading group.
