Sam Whitworth is a motorsport photographer from West Yorkshire whose passion for the sport began long before he ever picked up a camera. Having previously worked as a technician for both Audi and Mercedes, Sam developed a deep appreciation for cars and engineering—an interest that naturally evolved into a love for capturing motorsport through photography. His journey behind the lens started in 2020 during lockdown, when daily walks became an opportunity to explore creativity. After buying his first DSLR and photographing motorsport for the first time, he was immediately hooked.
Today, Sam focuses primarily on motorsport and car photography but hopes to expand his work into other sports, including music, football, and rugby league. He aims to combine his wide-ranging interests with his growing photographic skill. Ultimately, Sam’s dream is to photograph at Le Mans and shoot another Formula 1 race, with the long-term goal of turning photography into a full-time career.
