Hi, I’m Nikki. I started out with a simple Canon film point-and-shoot in the 90s and rediscovered my passion for photography through travel in 2010. Everything changed in 2019 when I brought my camera to the Singapore Grand Prix — that first taste of motorsport photography had me hooked.

Where did your photography journey start?
I’ve always enjoyed doing a bit of photography. My first camera was a Canon film point-and-shoot back in the 90s. I bought my first DSLR in 2010 and actually started out doing travel photography. It wasn’t until 2019 that I had my first taste of motorsport photography — I brought my camera to the Singapore Grand Prix to try and grab a few shots, really enjoyed it, and the rest is history.
What sort of photography do you do now?
Motorsport photography is now my main focus. From trackside action to paddock moments, it’s where I feel most in my element.
What are your other interests?
When I’m not doing my full-time job during the week, and when I’m not at a racetrack on the weekend, I can usually be found playing the piano or out on a run. Even on race weekends, I often still try to squeeze in a run — even after doing over 20,000 steps during the day running around taking photos.
What is your number one goal from doing photography?
I love seeing drivers appreciate my work and use my photos on their socials. Seeing my images in print still feels surreal. My goal is to continue getting accredited at race weekends so I can keep capturing moments for magazines, newspapers, drivers, and teams.
Dream event to photograph
Any Formula 1 weekend.
