Michael has had a camera in his hand for as long as he can remember, with his passion for photography truly taking shape during his college years, where he studied it as one of his main subjects. He initially focused on landscape photography before expanding into street and portrait work, developing a strong eye for composition and storytelling.

Having owned a motorcycle since the age of 16, it was only natural for Michael’s love of bikes to merge with his photography. Once he brought his camera to a race, he was instantly hooked, drawn to capturing the speed, energy, and emotion of motorsport. While motorsport is now his main focus, his street photography background continues to influence his work, with an emphasis on human stories and candid moments. With no fixed end goal, Michael is driven by constant learning and creativity, and his dream event to photograph is the 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race.

A little bit about me
I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember, and photography has always been a big part of who I am. What started as a creative interest has grown into a real passion, especially where motorsport is concerned.

Where did your photography journey start?
My journey really began during my college years, where I studied photography as one of my main subjects. I initially focused on landscape photography, learning the fundamentals of composition and light, before branching out into street and portrait photography as my confidence and curiosity grew.

What sort of photography do you do now?
Today, motorsport photography is my main focus, particularly bike racing. Having owned a motorcycle since I was 16, it felt natural for my love of bikes and photography to merge. The first time I took my camera to a race, I was instantly hooked by the speed, energy, and emotion. I still shoot street photography, and that influence carries into my motorsport work, where I’m always looking for human stories and candid moments alongside the on-track action.

What are your other interests?
Outside of photography, bikes are a huge part of my life, and I still enjoy exploring street photography whenever I can. Both help shape the way I see and capture the world.

What is your number one goal from doing photography?
I don’t have a fixed end goal. For me, photography is about constantly learning, creating, and finding new ways to tell stories and share the excitement of the sport.

What is your dream event to capture?
My dream event to photograph would be the 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race—the ultimate endurance challenge for both riders and the photographer behind the lens.
