Elliot is an award-winning motorsports photographer based in the East Midlands, whose career began in 2018 with virtual photography before picking up a real camera in 2020. His passion for motorsport was sparked at a young age, when he spectated alongside his father at Rockingham Motor Speedway, watching ASCAR. These experiences laid the foundation for his deep connection to all things motorsport.
Known for a raw and immersive visual style, Elliot focuses on capturing the emotion, atmosphere, and intensity that define motorsport. His work goes beyond the tarmac, telling human stories through fleeting moments and gritty details, resulting in powerful, authentic imagery.

A little bit about you
I’m Elliot, 27 years old, based in the East Midlands, arguably the heart of motorsport in the UK. Outside of photography, I am a Software Engineer with interests in all things technology!
Where did your photography journey start?
My journey started a little unconventionally in 2018, starting virtually on the iRacing platform, taking screenshots for the simracing team I was part of. This is where I developed my “eye” using a realistic-esque technique similar to what you see in the real world, with the additional freedom an unrestricted camera gave me.
By 2019, I attended my first event with a camera in hand, the World Endurance Championship 4 Hours of Silverstone. I was hooked from that point on, learning and experimenting with every event I attended.
What sort of photography do you do now?
Primarily automotive and motorsports. It can be anything from endurance racing to sports cars, touring cars, or even historic. If it has an engine and wheels, I will probably not be too far away! Outside of that, my camera is usually with me when out and about, so just about anything and everything really. Work-wise, however, some commercial and sports photography for local businesses and teams in Northamptonshire.
What are your other interests?
I am a gamer at heart, primarily simracing, first-person shooters and plunging into other worlds through RPGs. Recently, I have become more interested in health, fitness and cooking, which will definitely help on the long days out trackside!
What is your number one goal from doing photography?
For me, I find the most joy when someone can express they “feel” an event through a series of still frames. That is ultimately the goal I have in mind for myself every weekend I step foot trackside.
What is your dream event to capture?
Now that is tough to nail down to just one, but narrowed down, any of the big three 24-hour races, Bathurst 1000 or F1 Silverstone!
Where can people find your work?
